The Month of Shaban (What is Shaban Month in Islam)
The month of Rajab is the month for planting, the month of Shaban is the month of irrigating the crops, and the month of Ramadan is the month of harvesting the crops.
Rajab if for a person to stop drifting away, Shaban is for striving and sincerity, and Ramadan is for truthfulness and purity.
- Rajab is the month of repentance, Shaban is the month of love, and Ramadan is the month of closeness to ALLAH.
- Rajab is the month of sanctity, Shaban is the month of service, and Ramadan is the month of blessing.
- Rajab is the month of worship, Shaban is the month of turning away from this world, and Ramadan is the month of increase.
- Rajab is the month in which ALLAH multiplies the reward of good deeds, Shaban is the month of expiating bad deeds, and Ramdan is the month of waiting for gifts and honours.
- Rajab is the month of those who are excelling, Shaban is the month of those whose progress is moderate, and Ramadan is the month of the sinners (in which they can mend their ways).

A’isha (R.A) said:
“The Messenger (SWT) used to fast until we thought he would never break his fast, and not fast until we thought he would never fast. I never saw the Messenger of ALLAH fasting for an entire month except in Ramadan, and I never saw him fast more than he did in Shaban.” (Bukhari & Muslim)
Your deeds are shown to ALLAH in this month
“It is a month in which the deeds are taken up to the Lord of the worlds, and I like that my deeds be taken up when I am fasting.” (Al-Nisai)
The Prophet (SWT) used to love fasting this month
“The most beloved of months for the Messenger of ALLAH for fast in was Shaban”. (Abu Dawud)
The Prophet (SWT) used to fast frequently this month
“I never saw the Messenger of ALLAH fasting for an entire month except in Ramadan, and I never saw him fast more than he did in Shaban”. (Al-Bukhari)
Fasting this Month is a Neglected Sunnah
“That is a month occurring between Rajab and Ramadan that many people neglect” (Al-Nisai) “Whoever revives a Sunnah from my Sunnah and the people practice it, will have the same reward of those who practice it without their reward diminishing” (Sunan ibn Maajah)
