Bangla Tigers defeated Zimbabwe in a dramatic last-ball match at Brisbane’s Gabba stadium, advancing them to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup semifinals.

Bangladesh reached 150/7 thanks to opener Najmul Shanto’s half-ton as the Asian team won one of the big event’s most exciting finishes.

In the Group 2 encounter of the ICC T20 World Cup Super 12s on Sunday, Bangladesh secured a thrilling victory by three runs despite the superb knock by seasoned Zimbabwean hitter Sean Williams.

In the waning seconds, Mosaddek Hussain held off 15 runs despite the final delivery being called a no-ball. The teams had to return to the field for a free hit because the move was unlawful, and four points were needed to win. Blessings Muzarabani missed again, leaving his team short on 147/8.

The Zimbabwean battling line broke down after Wessly Madhere, captain Craig Ervine (c), Milton Shumba, and Sikandar Raza failed to face the Bangla Tigers during the powerplay.

Williams then picked up the pace with Regis Chakabva for a 34-run fifth-wicket partnership before putting on a heroic 63-run stand with Ryan Burl. Later, he was fired.

Najmul Hossain Shanto’s explosive knock of 71 off 55 earlier in the game helped the Tigers to a solid total of 150/7. Soumya Sarkar, the opener, commits a golden duck in the second over. Fourteen was Liton Das’ objective.
