Imran Khan cites three individuals as “responsible” for the shooting at the PTI long march.

According to senior party leader Asad Umar, former prime minister Imran Khan has detained three individuals for a gun attack at a PTI long march close to Wazirabad.

Khan, who is receiving treatment for gunshot wounds at the Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore, recently spoke with Mian Aslam Iqbal and him, according to Umar in a video statement.

The PTI leader held Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, and Major General Faisal, whose name came to light during the alleged custodial torture incident involving Azam Swati, accountable for the attack, Umar said. “Imran Khan told us that he had prior information of the attack on him,” Umar said.

The PTI leader stated, “Our urgent demand is that all three be removed from their positions.”

They will file a lawsuit against the individuals named in the attempted assassination of Imran Khan, according to Mian Aslam Iqbal.

Other PTI leaders, including Senator Faisal Javed, Umar Dar, and Ahmed Chattah, were also hurt in the attack. Imran Khan was shot in both legs. A demonstrator perished in the incident as well.

Khan began the march last Friday in Lahore and has since stopped in a number of towns en route to Islamabad, where his party intends to hold a sit-in in support of new elections for the nation.

Nearly 200 kilometres from Islamabad, in the Gujranwala area of Punjab Province, was where the PTI caravan was supposed to stop today.
