Jahangir Tareen favors dialogue to convince JUI-F Chief
Islamabad: PTI leader Jahangir Tareen and Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar held a meeting today to discuss the upcoming long march of Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman.
According to the details, the two leaders have deliberated on the option of using black-door diplomacy to convince Maulana to cancel his long march.
Jahangir Tareen has emphasized on the need to have dialogue with JUI-F Chief to settle the matter.
Earlier today, opposition’s Rahbar Committee decided against giving more time to the incumbent government.
Addressing a presser in Islamabad, Akram Durrani vowed to send government packing very soon. Lambasting Imran Khan-led federal govt over its poor economic policies, Durrani deplored that masses were being forced to close their businesses.
Demanding resignation of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and new date for general polls, Durrani went on to say that incumbent govt was selling state-run institutions one after another. Durrani added, “We want ouster of this govt.”
Replying to a question, Durrani stated that Maulana Fazlur Rahman has no need whatsoever to use religious card.
“We will keep Azadi March peaceful”, concluded Durrani.
On Oct 3, Fazlur Rehman had announced to begin Azadi March—aimed at the ouster of Imran Khan-led federal govt—on October 27.
