Pakistan and China have agreed to use bullet-proof vehicles

To protect Chinese workers on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects from terrorist threats, Pakistan and China have agreed to require them to travel outside only in bulletproof vehicles.

The 11th Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) of the CPEC’s draught minutes state that both parties have agreed to increase the capacity of law enforcement and investigative organisations.
The judgments may help allay the worries of the Chinese government, which had been holding off on the CPEC front until the security of its citizens was fully assured and Pakistan complied with the terms of the energy agreements.

The draught minutes of the 11th JCC, which Pakistan and China had traded, said that “it has been determined that all outside movements of the Chinese employees on projects must be made in bullet-proof cars.”
