ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – The federal government confirmed on Monday that gasoline prices will remain constant for the first two weeks of November.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar made the statement, noting that the decision was decided following consultation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Petrol will stay at Rs224.80 per litre, while high-speed diesel will be sold at Rs235.30 and light-speed diesel will be sold at Rs191.83 per litre.
Previously, sources suggested that the price of fuel will be reduced by Rs2.86 per litre during the first fifteen days of November.
Meanwhile, the finance minister proposed a one-month postponement in filing tax returns to help people.
