The Punjab government has launched the registration for the Honhaar Scholarship Program, aimed at supporting deserving students in completing their education through a Scholarships.
In this initial phase, scholarships are available in 68 different fields, as the program strives to improve access to higher education for talented individuals in the most populous area of the country.
The Punjab Honahar Scholarship will benefit students from 50 public universities, 16 medical colleges, and 131 graduate colleges, while also offering chances to top private universities.
The provincial government plans to raise the total scholarship fund to Rs130 billion, with an estimated 120,000 students expected to receive support over the next four years.
It is another step forward by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz like other Govt Scheme to help poor community across Punjab.
In a social media update, she described the Honahar Scholarship Program as a significant achievement that will remove financial obstacles, allowing bright students to pursue higher education.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the program’s aim to empower Pakistani youth by granting them access to quality education and promising job opportunities.
Students who wish to apply for the scholarship can start registering today, marking an important advancement in educational opportunities in the region.
Before applying, students must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria. The criteria include academic performance, family income, and other specific requirements outlined below.
Step 2: Online Application
Registration: Visit the officialscholarship portal of the Punjab government and register using a valid email address and phone number.
Fill Application Form: Complete the online application form by providing personal details, academic records, and financial information.
Upload Documents: Scan and upload required documents, including academic transcripts, proof of income, and identification documents.
Submit Application: Review the application thoroughly before submitting. Once submitted, an application reference number will be generated for future tracking.
Step 3: Document Verification
The submitted applications and documents will be verified by the scholarship committee. Any discrepancies or missing information may lead to the rejection of the application.
Step 4: Interview (if required)
Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interview to further assess their eligibility and need for the scholarship.
Step 5: Final Selection
The final list of selected candidates will be published on the official scholarship portal. Selected candidates will also be notified via email and SMS.
Step 6: Disbursement of Funds
The scholarship amount will be disbursed directly to the students’ bank accounts. Students are required to provide their bank details during the application process.
Eligibility Criteria
Academic Performance:
Applicants must have secured at least 80% marks in their last academic examination.
Students currently enrolled in recognized institutions for higher education (undergraduate or postgraduate) are eligible to apply.
Family Income:
The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed INR 2.5 lakh.
Applicants must provide a valid income certificate issued by a competent authority.
Residence:
Applicants must be permanent residents of Punjab. Proof of residence, such as an Aadhaar card or domicile certificate, is required.
Age Limit:
The age of the applicant should be between 17 to 25 years at the time of application.
Additional Criteria:
Preference will be given to students from underprivileged backgrounds, including those belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories.
Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply and will receive special consideration.

The eligibility for the scholarship includes the student must have a domicile from any district of the Punjab.
