US State Secretary Antony Blinken said there is no place for violence in politics in a statement. He posted a message on Twitter saying, “We wish him and all others injured a swift recovery, and we extend our sympathies to the family of the guy who was killed.”
According to reports, PTI chief, who sustained a bullet wound to his right leg, is in stable condition. The attack claimed the lives of one activist as well as a number of party leaders and employees of the former ruling party, according to social media videos that have gone viral.
The attacker is currently in police custody. He confessed to killing Imran Khan, not anyone else, in a video message, claiming the PTI leader had misled the populace.
