The US has once again denied Imran Khan’s assertions that Americans overthrew his administration through a regime change plot.
The PTI head, who is on a week-long march to the capital to urge the governing coalition for early elections, accused Washington of plotting against him.
The US Department of State responded to Mr. Khan’s remarks on Monday, firmly rejecting his statements, stating that the regime change charges hurled by the former Pakistani prime are false.
State Department spokesman Ned Price assures that misinformation will not derail Pakistan and the United States’ important partnership.
“What we can do is oppose deception and misinformation with information,” he said in the weekly briefing. We appreciate the long history of collaboration between the United States and Pakistan. A wealthy and democratic Pakistan has always been essential to our interests. That is still the case.”
When questioned about the free and fair elections in South Asian countries, he stated that Washington supports the peaceful maintenance of constitutional and democratic values worldwide.
