Hasbunallahu Wa Ni’mal Wakeel is a very powerful ayah from the Glorious Qur’an, Surah Al-Imran (3:173). A strong Dua that can overcome fear, anxiety, or distress. According to Hadees, this Dua was sufficient for Prophet Ibrahim (may peace be upon him). Do you know why this Dua is so powerful? Let’s understand this supplication strongly and make it part of our daily life.
Let’s see this Dua in the light of Hadees:
Ibn ‘Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said: When (Prophet) Ibraheem(عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم) was thrown into the fire, he said: “Allah (Alone) is sufficient for us, and, He is the Best Disposer of affairs.” So did Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (ﷺ), when he was told: “A great army of the pagans had gathered against him, so fear them”. But this (warning) only increased him and the Muslims in Faith and they said: “Allah (Alone) is sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us)” – [Al-Bukhari]
As seen in the meaning itself, it says Allah is sufficient for us. What else do we need, when we have Allah (SWT) on our side? This is indeed a very strong Dua to overcome whatever problems you face. For a Muslim who feels helpless, who are facing marriage issue, fluctuations in his/her career, fear of the enemy, or when the person gets stuck in a situation where no one else can help but Allah.
It doesn’t matter who is against you. You just need to put your trust in Allah (SWT), then surely the help will come. Al-Wakeel is one of those beautiful names of Allah which means The Disposer of Affairs.
